I am still hoping for a decent day to take a proper pictures of my mystery project, but looking through the window I fear that a sunny day may not come any time soon ;o/So here goes: my mystery project revealed! And a pattern!
It all started with this handspun that I had no idea what to do with. I found a nice scarf pattern but knew that I only have some 260m of yarn so not enough for a scarf. So I went looking for neckwarmer patterns and did find few interesting ones,but none of them got me thinking "IT'S PERFECT for my handspun!"
And so I decided to design my own.
The pattern works nice with multicolour yarns (handspun and commercial) and it looks good in solid colours.
The long stitches give a nice texture and look really interesting when using semisolid of multicolour yarn.
The main pattern is only a 6 stitches repeat, so cast multiple of 6 stitches plus 2 edge stitches to make it wider or narrower.
Keep knitting the pattern repeats for a scarf of desired length.
