Garter Stitch Baby Kimono

It's finished, it's blue and it's cute. Even though little Daniel will have to grow a bit before he can wear this.

Skończone, niebieskie i słodkie. Nawet jeśli mały Danielek bedzie musiał podrosnąć trochę zanim sweterek będzie na niego pasował.

I found these buttons (there was nothing I really like in Hickeys, where do you buy NICE buttons?).

Znalazłam takie guziczki (wybór w tutejszym sklepie żaden, porażka na maksa. Strasznie brakowało mi polskiej pasmanterii).

Neckline calls for 2 stitch decreases which gave me ugly holes. So I digged out some leftover green Debbie Bliss (that I used for Maja and the crocheted toys) and made chain long enough to weave in to the holes. I like it, don't you?

Dekolt wymagał zdejmowania dwóch oczek na początku rzędu, co w rezultacie nie wyglądało zbyt pięknie. Pozostawały mi dzury, które wcale mi się nie podobały. Wygrzebałam więc resztki zielonej Debbie Bliss (którą użyłam do zrobienie Maji i kilku szydełkowych zabawek) i zrobiłam długi łańcuszek, który przewlekłam przez te nieszczęsne dziury. Teraz mi się podoba. Ładnie podkreśla linię dekoltu i nawet pasuje do guzików (nie żeby dzidzia zwracała na to uwage, ale mama może tak).

I made two 15cm (~6 inches) I-cords and attached them inside the kimono.

Zrobiłam dwa 15cm sznureczki (I-cord) i przyszyłam je wewnątrz.

Overall I used 2,25 balls of GGH Scarlett in blue. Some 220m of it. It's cotton so should be easy to wash and also should grow with the baby a little bit ;o)
I really like the pattern. Will probably make more of these cute kimonos in the future.

W sumie zużyłam jakies 2,25 motka GGH Scarlet. Jakieś 220 metrów. Bawełna powinna być odporna na pranie i urosnąć z czasem razem z bobaskiem. Sam wzór jest naprawdę fajny i pewnie wrócę do niego w przyszłości.

In other news, Camden is growing quite quickly too. I decided to use different yarn with it though. I'm working with Drops Alpaca and guys really, they sell GREAT quality yarn for LITTLE money! I think I'm going to be a big fan.
I finished the back and started the bobbly front. I'm done with the first pattern repeat and it looks funny. There'll be a lot of bobbles when I'm done ;o)
The only thing that annoys me is that this mauve red is a pain in the backside to photograph.

Camden rośnie dość szybko. Zdecydowałam się na inną włóczkę - Alpakę z Dropsa - i nie żałuję.
Muszę przyznać że Drops naprawdę sprzedaje włóczki świetnej jakości i za rozsądną cenę ;o) Chyba zostanę fanem.
Skończyłam tył i zabrałam się za bąblasty przód. Pierwszy wzór mam za sobą i jak na razie wygląda to trochę śmiesznie. No ale zobaczymy ;o)
Jedyne co mnie wkurza, to to, że ten bordowy kolor jest beznadziejny do sfotografowania.

I signed up for the PolishSecretPal and got my Pal's info. So I'll be going through my stash soon and preparing a packet for her.
Also, IrishKnitters (on Rav) are getting ready for Xmas Swap, so there'll be more stash giveaway ;o) My BF is over the moon, but he doesn't realise that I will also RECEIVE a packet full of yummy yarn from someone. Should I tell him ? Naaaa ... I don't think so ;o)
